September 29 2015 the Dutch Kersjes Foundation announced that Frans-Aert is the 2015 winner of the Kersjes Conducting Scholarship. With this 15.000 euro prize he will be able to expand his conducting capacities, taking lessons with world's most important conductors.

The scholarship is one of three yearly prizes the warm-hearted and generous founder and conductor, Anton Kersjes (1923-2004), set up to support young and extremely talented classical musicians on their way to the international concert stage. Being a conductor himself, Frans-Aert is especially honoured with this scholarship.

Frans-Aert and the other laureates will receive their prize on December 8 2015 in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw.
